Aluminum packaging used for pharma and medical cannabis allows maintaining a humidity and oxygen controlled environment for inflorescences, tablets and capsules. The bags are produced in a controlled environment and packed according to the requirements of the end user.
Use of aluminum packaging in pharmaceuticals
Pharma plants use aluminum foil bags for powders and tablets that require a humidity or oxygen controlled environment. The factories use aluminum packaging during the production phase of the active ingredient (API) and the accompanying materials as well as during the production of the final product, when it is required to keep the tablets/capsules during production.
Use of aluminum bags in cannabis
In the first stage, in the breeding farm, the aluminum bags are used to package the inflorescences in order to transfer them to the factory.
GAP procedure 151 states that 1/2 kg or 1 kg bags can be used.
In the next step, at the factory, aluminum bags (or jars) are used for packaging for use by the final consumer.
Procedure 152 of the GMP (GMP) states that the weight of the bloom in the consumer package will be 10 grams.
